Did you remember when did you last clean the violin? Don’t worry if you can’t remember, because it is realized that most violinists do not clean their violins after playing for a period of time.

Other than hygiene purposes, we clean the violin to remove unwanted stains from the violin, to make it look new and fresh for playing. Keeping out violin clean also shows how much respect we have for our precious violin.

Tips When You Clean The Violin

Apply the solvent onto the cloth, instead of directly onto the violin.

Use a violin polishing solvent, and not any other polishing solvents.

Clean the violin with care. Do not rub on stains too hard if they refuse to come out. You could try a different solvent, or it just means that they have become permanent. Then, you might need further treatment to remove them.

If you need any help in cleaning, always consult a professional.

Now, you have a clean violin! How about a clean violin bow too?
