We know that the violin is a popular and beautiful instrument that many people all over the world are learning it everyday. However, what we might not know, is that there are also many people all over the world giving up learning the violin everyday!
As a violinist for 17 years, I have seen how violin players love playing the violin so much that they play their way to the top and perform in famous concert halls, and I have also seen how violin players gave up playing altogether after just into their 3rd year of learning.
Why is that so?
In the guide above that I have written, I share that many violinists are not really enjoying their violin playing, causing them to become frustrated, and ultimately, giving up playing altogether.
I hope to stop this, and help violinists enjoy their violin music again. That’s why this book!

Question: If you have read the Smart Violin Playing guide, what do you think? You can leave a comment below!
Hey Marcus,
Thank you for writing this book. I really feel so encouraged after reading your Smart Violin Playing book. I started learning the violin at the age of 15 because I’m always inspired by violinists since young. However, I didn’t have much time to learn.
I picked up the violin during my college break, and I thought it will be hard for me, since I learn at 15. I have friends who learn at 6, and they played so well. I felt discouraged and thought I may never be like them.
Your book gave me insights on how to practice and enjoy the violin, even with my busy school schedule. THANK YOU VERY MUCH Marcus!

Hi Marcus,
I started learning violin about 1 year ago at age 51. It is very tough for me but I am still enjoying it. I tell myself it’s never too old to begin again to learn something new each day. Grateful if you could provide me a copy of your Smart Violin Playing Guide. I still cannot overcome my squeaky and scratchy bowing.
Thank you
Hello!
I started playing violin a year and a half ago, and I’m starting to have a hard time and it feels like i’ve been playing the same songs over and over. I have private lessons and play in a orchestra, but because of covid, those things have been much harder to do. I was wondering if you could give advice, and send the guide to my email.
Thanks!
Vivian

I have returned to the violin after many, many years and play a very old (1814) Johann Baptist Schweitzer 4/4. that belonged to my father. Now as I ready the instrument my quandary is the bridge. I have two in the case, but they are not identical. One has a sharp decline toward the E string, whereas the other is symmetrical across E to G sting. which is the correct one? Time for an expert?
